About

Hi.
I am a largely self taught artist and sculptor, based in Sussex. Having "discovered" sculpture in mid-life, I experimented with clay, casting and wood before settling predominantly on stone. I now use mostly a limestone as it works well with the forms I create and their linear content. Most pieces are of a "table-top" size for practical handling reasons.
My working process involves moving from a three dimensional original through various versions of two dimensional images, before arriving back at a final three dimensional form. Drawing plays a large part and is evident in the final form of most pieces.
Whilst most of my work is abstract, I am experimenting with more stylised pieces and am aiming in the near future to experiment with combining media such as stone with wood, or resin.
Any successes will appear on this site in due course!
